Paige Cornwell

Paige Cornwell is a reporter at The Seattle Times, where she covers the Eastside, breaking news and the occasional missing wallaby.

She was among the first local reporters to cover the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., and covered COVID-19’s spread inside Life Care Center of Kirkland, the site of the nation’s first known outbreak. That work was recently selected as a finalist for the Scripps Howard Foundation’s breaking news award, and a finalist for the Investigative Reporters and Editors’ award for an investigation triggered by breaking news.

She was a member of the Seattle Times reporting team that won the 2015 Pulitzer for breaking news for its coverage of the deadly landslide in Oso, Wash., that killed 43 people.
